The curved shower rods simply promise advantages and benefits to you. They are effective, efficient and inexpensive rods that easily increase the shower space, and provide a completely different look to the entire bathroom. The shower curtains have 3" curve-in at the corners, which prevents water leakage and allows the curtains to remain inside the bathtubs and does not allow it to blow over you. It is because of the curved shower rods that you can easily get extra elbowroom without renovating the bathroom in a new way. With the help of this rod, you can get some additional space for soaping, scrubbing and bathing in the bathrooms.
The next step involves applying the waterproof silicone around the fixtures and fittings inside the enclosure and the outside where the enclosure fits up against the floor and wall. To do this correctly you need to insert the silicone waterproof cartridge in the caulking gun and screw on the nozzle. Using your Stanley knife you need to remove the tip of the nozzle (about 1-2cm) at a slight angle. Once this has been completed the triggered on the caulking gun can now be pressed to release the waterproof silicone for application around the seals and joints.
Irrespective of the type of shower curtain you own, be it vinyl, plastic, or fabric, they all tend to collect a film of soap scum along with body oils after a certain period of time. This scum needs to be dealt with on a regular basis. In fact, there is nothing grosser than a shower curtain that has not been cleaned for a long time. Besides scum, even mildew makes its presence around the edges of the curtain. Some people do not bother to clean their curtains, instead discard them once they're quite unsightly. Shower curtains may not be very expensive, but throwing them away is certainly under-utilizing them.
Hemp (a thick plant fiber) is yet another variety of natural material used to make shower curtains. One of its many advantages is that it is as mildew-resistant as vinyl; and as environment-friendly as cotton. Hemp naturally has antifungal and antibacterial properties, and hence, does not mildew easily. However, the only side effect of hemp is that it requires longer time to dry. Due to its absorbent properties, it tends to absorb water, and hence, needs extended drying.
